The barrel is equipped with 3/4-inch inlet and outlet connections, ball valves, and quick-connect fittings for integration with a compatible Dynamic Cold Therapy cooling and heating system. Installation

The Dynamic Cold Therapy stainless steel barrel cold plunge is designed for placement on a smooth, level, waterproof surface capable of supporting the combined weight of the tub, water, and occupant. Choose an installation area with suitable water access, drainage, and sufficient clearance for safe entry, exit, and routine maintenance.

Space and Foundation Planning: The barrel measures 42 inches across and 39.5 inches high. The interior is approximately 38 inches wide and 33 inches high. Allow additional space for the included Pacific Cedar step, the cover, and any hoses associated with an optional chiller. Verify that the floor, deck, or foundation can support the fully filled tub and all anticipated loads before installation.

Indoor Installation: Place the tub on waterproof flooring, preferably near a suitable drain. The manufacturer's instructions advise against placing the plunge on carpet or other moisture-sensitive surfaces. Provide adequate ventilation and keep electrical appliances away from the bathing area.

Outdoor Installation: Select a stable, level location free of sharp objects and debris. The manufacturer recommends protecting the barrel from prolonged direct sunlight and providing appropriate water drainage. Follow the owner's manual for storage and operation restrictions during freezing weather.

Optional Chiller Connections: The barrel has 3/4-inch inlet and outlet ports for compatible cooling and heating systems. When installing a chiller, connect the tub outlet to the chiller inlet and the chiller outlet to the tub inlet, following the approved connection diagram. Verify the correct hoses, gaskets, valves, fittings, and water-flow requirements for the selected chiller.

Electrical Requirements: The tub-only configuration has no powered heating or cooling equipment. Electrical service is required only when compatible powered accessories, such as an optional chiller, are installed. The Dynamic Cold Therapy stainless steel barrel provides an upright, seated cold-water immersion experience. The standalone tub does not independently cool, heat, filter, or circulate water. Water temperature depends on the water used to fill the tub or a separately purchased compatible cooling and heating system.

• Preparing the Plunge: Fill the barrel with clean water to an appropriate level that allows immersion while keeping your head above water. Account for water displacement before entering to prevent overflow.
• Seated Immersion: Use the integrated ergonomic seat to maintain a supported upright position during the session. The seated configuration differs from longer rectangular tubs designed for more reclined immersion.
• Optional Chiller Operation: When connected to a compatible Dynamic Cold Therapy chiller, follow the chiller's separate operating instructions to adjust water temperature and manage circulation, filtration, and other supported functions.
• Safe Entry and Exit: Use the supplied Pacific Cedar step carefully. Enter feet first, move slowly, and maintain controlled breathing. Never practice breath-holding or hyperventilation in the water.
• Immersion Duration: Begin with moderate water temperatures and short sessions. Cold-water tolerance varies between individuals, and prolonged immersion can increase the risk of hypothermia.
• Using the Cover: Secure the insulated cover and locking latches whenever the tub is not in use to help keep debris out and discourage unauthorized access. Keep children and pets away from the tub, and do not rely on the cover as a substitute for supervision.
• Water Chemistry: The manufacturer's manual recommends maintaining water pH between 7.2 and 7.8. Check water quality regularly and follow the manufacturer's guidance when using compatible water-treatment products.
• Water Replacement: Without external filtration or water treatment, the manufacturer's manual recommends replacing the water approximately every 3–5 days, depending on usage. A compatible chiller can supplement water care but does not eliminate the need for regular water testing and maintenance.
• Cleaning the Interior: Drain the barrel and clean the stainless steel soaking surface with a soft cloth and approved mild cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive materials and cleaning products that could damage the finish.
