Installation

The Icetubs IceBarrel is designed for indoor or outdoor installation on a stable, level surface capable of supporting the complete system, its water volume, and the user. The barrel's upright design requires less bathing length than a reclining ice bath but still needs appropriate space for the cooling engine, safe access, ventilation, and maintenance.

 

Space Requirements: U.S. distributor specifications list overall dimensions of approximately 53 inches long, 30.6 inches wide, and 46.2 inches high, including the cooling-engine assembly. Allow additional room for safe entry and exit, removing the cover, engine ventilation, filter replacement, draining, and servicing. Check the current manufacturer dimension drawing before finalizing installation clearances.

 

Foundation and Structural Support: The system weighs approximately 326.3 pounds empty and 1,097.9 pounds with water, excluding the bather. The supporting surface must accommodate the fully loaded unit, occupant, and accessories. If placing the IceBarrel on a raised deck or other structure with uncertain load capacity, obtain a qualified structural assessment before installation.

 

Indoor Installation: Position the tub on a level, moisture-resistant surface with suitable drainage nearby. Provide adequate ventilation around the cooling engine and keep electrical equipment protected from splashing, condensation, and standing water. Avoid carpeting and flooring that could be damaged by routine water exposure.

 

Outdoor Installation: Choose a stable, level location with suitable drainage and adequate engine airflow.
