Space Requirements: The manufacturer lists approximate overall dimensions of 62.3 inches long, 40.2 inches wide, and 46.4 inches high, including the cooling-engine area. Allow additional clearance for safe entry and exit, removal of the insulated cover, engine ventilation, cleaning, filter replacement, and maintenance. Follow the current Icetubs installation manual for minimum service clearances.

Foundation and Structural Support: The complete system weighs approximately 372.6 pounds empty and 1,320.6 pounds with water before adding an occupant. The actual installation load also includes the user and accessories. Verify that the intended floor, deck, patio, or foundation can safely support the full load. Have a qualified contractor or structural engineer assess elevated platforms when load capacity is uncertain.

Indoor Installation: Position the barrel on a stable, moisture-resistant surface with adequate drainage nearby. Provide ventilation around the cooling engine and maintain sufficient space to access the controls and filter. Have a qualified electrician confirm the actual supplied engine's nameplate, outlet type, circuit capacity, grounding, ground-fault protection, and applicable electrical codes before operation. Do not assume international electrical specifications apply to the U.S. configuration.

Entry and Exit Planning: The IceBarrel XL is an elevated, upright immersion tub. Ensure that the entry area is stable and allows safe access. The full matching stair assembly and stainless steel handrails are not included with this configuration. Do not improvise elevated access equipment or assume an unrelated step is compatible.

Filling and Drainage: A permanent household plumbing connection is not required. Fill the tub with clean water using the manufacturer's approved hose attachment and maintain the specified fill level. Follow the approved drainage procedure when emptying the system.
