Installation and Compatibility

The Finnmark SoulCold™ must be installed on a flat, level, structurally adequate surface. The filled unit weighs approximately 1,650 pounds, so decks, balconies, raised platforms, and elevated installations should be reviewed by a qualified contractor or structural professional before placement.

 

• Electrical connection: Place the plunge near a code-compliant standard 15-amp household outlet that meets all manufacturer and local electrical requirements.

 

• Access planning: Confirm that the complete delivery route, including doors, gates, hallways, elevators, and turns, can accommodate the 35-inch product depth and 38.5-inch packaged depth.

 

• Chiller ventilation: Keep the chiller intake and exhaust areas unobstructed and maintain all clearances required by the Installation and Operation Manual.

 

• Drainage: Select an installation area with appropriate drainage and surfaces capable of handling routine splashing, filling, draining, and condensation.

 

• Service access: Leave adequate room around the control, filtration, plumbing, and chiller areas for maintenance and filter replacement.

 

• Outdoor placement: Follow all manufacturer placement requirements and protect the power connection, controls, and mechanical components from direct weather exposure.

 

• Delivery: The plunge ships by scheduled curbside LTL freight. The carrier will lower the packaged unit to ground level but does not move it through a gate, inside a building, or to the final installation area.

 

• Cedar tannins: New cedar components may initially release natural tannins that create harmless temporary water discoloration. This typically diminishes with routine filtration and water changes.
